BOSTON (July 25, 2016) – Cape Cod and South Shore residents should have an easier time locating the Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries donation bins when they go to drop off donations at their community’s recycling center.
That’s because Goodwill has installed new, well-marked bins in eight communities on Cape Cod and the South Shore, including Barnstable, Dennis, Hanover, Harwich, Hingham, Mashpee, Plymouth, and Yarmouth. Donations at these locations support The Goodwill Store in Hyannis. Goodwill first started collecting donations at these locations in 1997.
“We are happy to be providing local residents with a better donation experience with these new bins,” said Jason Marshall, vice president of retail for Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. “In 2015, Cape Cod and South Shore residents donated more than one million pounds of donations to Goodwill and we hope residents will be encouraged to donate more in 2016 with the new bins in place.”

The bins feature technology that will electronically notify Goodwill when they are full and need to be picked up so that donations do not overflow. The bins include Goodwill’s logo and web address along with the phrase ‘donate here.’
