South Shore Conservatory Opens Registration for 2017 Summer Ballet Programs

Dance for students age 7 and up at SSC's Duxbury campus

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) announces open registration for their summer 2017 summer ballet programs for students of all ages at their Duxbury campus at 64 St. George Street.

For students ages 7 to 10, SSC’s Children’s Ballet Camp provides younger ballet students with daily ballet classes from June 26 through June 30, from 9 am to 1 pm. The program also includes workshop classes in other genres of movement, such as hip-hop, jazz and yoga, plus craft time and a choreography class, and culminates in an end of camp performance. Previous ballet experience is helpful but not necessary

From June 26 through June 30, Ballet Bootcamp offers intermediate and advanced ballet student, ages 11 and up, a chance to intensify their training with daily technique classes, daily pointe classes, stretching and conditioning, and sessions on other complimentary genres such as contemporary and yoga. SSC’s Intermediate/Advanced Ballet Technique, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 8 through August 24, for students age 12 and up, offers ballet and pointe for intermediate to advanced students (Ballet 4 and up). Placement is by evaluation. Please contact Nancy Meredith at n.meredith@sscmusic.org or 781-934-2731 x11 for more information or to schedule an evaluation class. Students should have at least four consecutive years of classical ballet training to be eligible.
