South Shore Conservatory Presents Headin' Home

Father/daughter fiddling duo take the stage

South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) Coffee Break Concert Series presents Headin’ Home on Tuesday, April 25, 11 am at SSC’s Ellison Center for the Arts, 64 St. George Street in Duxbury. The Coffee Break Concert Series, free and open to the public, is sponsored by The Village at Duxbury.

Hailing from the highlands of Western Connecticut, father-daughter duo Headin' Home creates a joyous sound, flowing easily from their love of sharing music together. Christine Hedden, fiddle and Dan Hedden, guitar and vocals, perform repertoire that draws upon New England folk music and Irish traditions, as well as American singer/songwriters and original tunes. In June 2013, they released their debut album "The Baker's Dozen" and are looking forward to a second album, soon to come. Their program features tunes and song from Irish and New England tradition, as well as original tunes grown from traditional roots.

After the performance audience members are invited to stay, meet the performers and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and breakfast treats. If they prefer, concertgoers may bring their own bag lunch.
