Helping to make the holidays a little bit brighter for families and seniors in Marshfield, the Talking Information Center (TIC), a non-profit reading service based in Marshfield, which broadcasts 24 hours a day to visually impaired and otherwise print disabled listeners, held a toy and gift drive for Marshfield Community Christmas (MCC).
From Black Friday through December 21st, TIC held a drive at their busy Marshfield studio to collect gifts and donations for MCC. TIC's "elves" delivered a full box of donations, which included a variety of toys and games for children and teens, hats, gloves, fleece blankets, grocery cards, gift cards and much more, to MCC to help their neighbors in need.
"Marshfield Community Christmas is a wonderful organization that brightens the holidays of many community members throughout the town," said Jim Bunnell, Executive Director of TIC. "Thanks to everyone - volunteers, visitors and staff - who generously donated and joined us in supporting MCC."
Founded in 1979, Marshfield Community Christmas is a nonprofit organization that helps community members in need by giving them new toys, small gifts and food certificates with the hope of making Christmas a little more joyful.
