City Council Asks Mayor to Explore Marijuana Ordinances

The Quincy City Council has asked Mayor Thomas Koch's office to look into regulation options.

QUINCY, MA — Now that marijuana is about a month away from being legal in Massachusetts, the Quincy City Council has asked Mayor Thomas Koch's office to look into regulation options.

Thursday, the council passed a resolution to ask the administration to look into how to deal with the passing of Question 4, according to the Patriot Ledger.

On Dec. 15, it will be legal for adults 21 and older to have up to an ounce of marijuana on them, up to 10 ounces in their home, up to six plants per individual, and 12 plants per a household. Use will still remain illegal in public places.
