'Stone Cold Steve Opossum' Gets Championship Belt From Quincy PD
"Stone Cold Steve Opossum" is looking like a champion in his new belt after Quincy police rescued him.

QUINCY, MA — "Stone Cold Steve Opossum," the baby opossum a Quincy police officer rescued last week, is starting to look like a champion after some rest at a local wildlife center. So much in fact, the police department showed off its new championship belt on Tuesday.
Officer Tim Kaes found the little critter alone on Willard Street last Tuesday after its siblings had died. According to police, none of the local wildlife centers were able to take the young marsupial in for the evening. Fearing it would die on its own, Kaes took the baby opossum into his own home for the night. His family took kindly to the opossum and named him "Stone Cold Steve Opossum."
Fortunately, the New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth has since been able to take in the little champion.
