Car Hits House in Shrewsbury: Police

A driver steered into a home, narrowly missing a gas meter.

SHREWSBURY, MA—A car slammed in to a house Sunday afternoon in Shrewsbury, narrowly missing a gas meter.

At 1:58 p.m, Shrewsbury firefighters responded to the crash on Wesleyan Street. When firefighters arrived, the driver had gotten out of the vehicle, and he did not appear to have any injuries. He was assessed by EMS.

The vehicle sustained significant damage, and the air bag deployed. The collision narrowly missed the gas meter on the house and only caused minor damage to the home, said Shrewsbury Fire Department. The accident is still under investigation by the Shrewsbury police.
