Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

SHREWSBURY, MA—A car slammed in to a house Sunday afternoon in Shrewsbury, narrowly missing a gas meter. At 1:58 p.m, Shrewsbury firefighters responded to the crash on Wesleyan Street. When firefighters arrived, the driver had gotten out of the vehicle, and he did not appear to have any injuries. He was assessed by EMS. The vehicle sustained significant damage, and the air bag deployed. The collision narrowly missed the gas meter on the house and only caused minor damage to the home, said Shrewsbury Fire Department. The accident is still under investigation by the Shrewsbury police.
