Angiosarcoma Awareness 5K Race and Walk

This 5K race/walk is sanctioned by the USA Track and Field organization and
official times will be recorded.
However, this race is open to all age and ability groups.  Whether you are trying to set a personal best
record or to simply enjoy a beautiful spring walk through the paved back roads
of Oxford, this is an event for you.

Founded in August, 2010, Angiosarcoma
Awareness, Inc. is a non-profit organization that raises funds to research this
very rare and fatal form of cancer.
Since its founding, Angiosarcoma Awareness, Inc. has established its own
research laboratory at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center in
New York City while forming research partnerships at the University of
Minnesota and at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas.  The research efforts of scientists at these
three institutions have paved the way for two clinical trials that are
currently ongoing and have provided countless patients and their families with
assistance in finding treatment options throughout the US and abroad.  Every cent raised by Angiosarcoma Awareness,
Inc. goes directly into research and without events such as this one, funding
for ongoing and future research would not be possible.
