Shrewsbury Education Foundation Announces Award Ceremony

The SEF will recognize educational grant recipients, John P. Collins Award-winners and community service at Shrewsbury High.

SHREWSBURY, MA – The Shrewsbury Education Foundation will hold its annual awards ceremony and fundraising dinner on Saturday, Jan. 20, the organization announced this week. The event will take place at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston.

The SEF will recognize educational grant recipients, winners of the John P. Collins Awards for Excellence and the Shrewsbury High School Community Service Program. The all-volunteer organization raises money to fund grants that provide resources and programs that are outside of the school department budget.

Winners of the Collins award will be honored for their work in bringing to life the mission of the Shrewsbury Public Schools: to provide students with the skills and knowledge for the 21st century, an appreciation of our democratic tradition and the desire to continue to learn throughout life. The award is named for former Superintendent John P. Collins, who served for 16 years in Shrewsbury.
