Shrewsbury Resident Awarded Public Library Scholarship
The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library awarded a $1,500 scholarship to a recent Advanced Math and Science Academy grad.

SHREWSBURY, MA – The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library this weekend announced the recipient of their 2017 scholarship. Suneri Amin, a Shrewsbury resident and 2017 graduate of the Advanced Math and Science Academy was awarded $1,500, to be used to purchase textbooks and other course materials. The Friends raised the scholarship amount by $500 this year.
Amin will attend the University of Connecticut in the fall and is enrolled in the college's pharmacy program. She won the scholarship for her essay on describing opportunities for the community in the library, titled "Back to the Future."
"We wish Suneri all the best in her future studies," Scholarship Chair AnnMarie Bird said. "It is with great pleasure that a $1500.00 scholarship was awarded to her."
