Alleged Serial Bike Thief Nabbed In Davis Square: Police

SOMERVILLE, MA – Police arrested an alleged serial bicycle thief Wednesday as he attempted to flee the Davis Square T stop. Angel Ortiz, 45, allegedly stole a mountain bike from the Elm Street side of the station and was caught on camera by Transit Police officers, police said.

Officers monitoring the security footage gave a description of Ortiz to officers on the ground. Police arrested Ortiz as he pedaled out of the station around 3:20 p.m.

Ortiz is the same man wanted for questioning in connection with a theft at the Davis Square stop on July 13, Transit Police said.
