East Cambridge Savings Bank Collecting Clothing for Second Chances

East Cambridge Savings Bank charitable event. Clothing Drive with Second Chances. Greater Boston Area.

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – East Cambridge Savings Bank is collecting gently used and new clothing for Second Chances’ clothing drive. All ten East Cambridge Savings Bank Banking Centers have drop off locations to receive clothing donations until Saturday Nov. 21. Clothing from any season, in any size, and for any age or gender will be accepted and appreciated.

Since 2005, Second Chances has provided free clothing, shoes, accessories and gift cards to more than 2,600 lower income and homeless people in Cambridge and Somerville. They have recycled or reused nearly 800,000 pounds of clothing, shoes and accessories. Through their clothing donation program, they are helping people in need in our community, conserving natural resources and diverting waste from our area’s already overflowing landfills.

“We’re so pleased that East Cambridge Savings Bank is hosting a clothing drive and accepting donations at all ten of their banking centers. Their participation and support will help hundreds in need” said Second Chances CEO, Andrea Shapiro.
