Eighth Annual Riverfest Returns to Assembly Row Saturday, Sept. 12
Somerville neighborhood celebration

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (August 28, 2015) – Riverfest, the grand finale of summer events at Assembly Row, returns for its eighth edition on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The all-day celebration, in partnership with The City of Somerville and the Department of Conservation and Recreation, includes live music from local bands, 20 local artisans, free children’s activities, roaming entertainment, a sidewalk sale, and a fireworks show over the Mystic River. Riverfest is scheduled to run from noon – 8 p.m. at Baxter Riverfront Park and throughout the Assembly neighborhood.
“Celebrations like Riverfest unify our city and bring visitors from all over the region to support our local businesses and enjoy what makes Somerville so special,” said Mayor Joe Curtatone. “We’re thankful for Assembly Row’s partnership in bringing this celebration to life each year. This celebration of our newest neighborhood and our waterfront continues to get bigger and better, and I’m looking forward to what this year’s event will bring.”
