Everett Man Killed, Somerville Man Injured in Crash

An Everett man was killed in an early-morning crash on I-93 which also injured a Somerville man, State Police said.

Police say they responded to a single-vehicle crash on I-93 in Boston near Exit 20 at 4:15 a.m.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2012 Nissan Altima was traveling northbound when it struck the attenuating barrier between the highway and Exit 20, police said.

A 25-year-old Everett man, the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 26-year-old Somerville man was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
