Folk Legend Michael Hurley Coming to Somerville
Hurley, an influential figure in the Greenwich folk scene of the 60s and 70s, will perform at The Rockwell next month.

SOMERVILLE, MA – American folk legend Michael Hurley is coming to Somerville next month for a one-night-only show at The Rockwell. Hurley, an influential figure in the Greenwich folk scene of the 60s and 70s, is seen as one of the genre's most elusive and enigmatic performers.
A musical chameleon, Hurley describes his style as "jazz-hyped blues and country and western music," and it sounds both timeless and singularly his own. For five decades, Hurley has maintained a revolving door of fans, from the beatniks in Greenwich Village, to the hippies in Vermont, Americana fans and indie rockers.
The 75-year-old returns this year with an all-new album, "Bad Mr. Mike," and an archival LP featuring 70s recordings. He stops by The Rockwell on Tuesday, April 18 with opening act Anthony Pasquarosa and John Moloney.
