Four Somerville Police Officers Receive Alexander McQuestion Award

On Saturday, Somerville Post 19 recognized the officers for exceptional police work.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Four Somerville police officers were honored with this year's Alexander McQuestion Award for exceptional police work.

Officers Tyler Sousa, Alan Monaco, Robert Hartsgrove and Christine Bork were all recognized by Somerville Post 19 at the Annual Veterans Day Ball on Saturday.

Sousa received the award for his work in disarming a mentally disturbed man of a box cutter at a Home Depot; Monaco and Hartsgrove were honored for disarming a mentally disturbed woman of a knife; and Bork was recognized for an act of kindness for a homeless man at Assembly Row.

Bork also received the Beyond the Call of Duty Award in June.
