Join 14 Somerville nonprofit organizations for a day of celebration, dancing, dining, and giving! On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, we will take over Arts at the Armory (191 Highland Avenue, Somerville), bringing with us music by the Somerville Ukulele Club and DJ Hank Davidson, food by Jules Catering, live-sized games, emcees Joe Grafton and KyAnn Anderson, and of course, amazing non-profit organizations a great feeling of goodwill.

How do you get in, you ask? Simply donate to GivingTuesday at http://bit.ly/givelocalsomerville. Any size donation will get you into the party of the year. Weren’t able to donate ahead of time? No problem! We’ll have a way for you to give at the event - cash, credit or check accepted at the door.

What: GivingTuesday Somerville: GiveLocal Celebration Party
When: Tuesday, December 1, 6:30-9pm
Why: To celebrate the collaboration of 14 organizations, dance, drink, eat, and be merry!
Where: Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave, Somerville
How: Accessible by the 88 and 90 buses; 20 minute walk to Davis or Porter T stations; Parking on-site for bikes and cars.

The Somerville nonprofit community has once again embarked upon a journey of collaborative fundraising - GivingTuesday Somerville: GiveLocal. This holiday season, 14 nonprofit organizations are joining forces to collaborate on a second-annual joint fundraising effort as part of the international GivingTuesday program. GivingTuesday is an annual global day of giving that helps to raise funds and awareness for important causes everywhere. In our community, this effort is comprised of a series of events , where each partner organization is highlighted for a week throughout the fall. All fourteen participating agencies are partnering to raise awareness and funds for each other in a truly collaborative awareness and fundraising effort! This collaborative fundraising effort will help to raise $50,000 for the participating nonprofit community of Somerville.
