"Heroes & Villains" Halloween Bash at Brass Union

On Halloween night, Brass Union will the set the stage for “Heroes & Villains,“ a comic character-themed Halloween bash complete with a dance party, costume contests, festive cocktails and – of course – candy. In keeping in Brass Union’s affinity for interactive gaming, may the best win.

DJ ABD will take to the turntables and spin a variety of genres from hip-hop, funk and soul to ‘80s hits. For good measure, DJ ABD will mix in a dose of Halloween classics so revelers can do their best “Monster Mash.” For those vying for “Best in Show,” there are a trio of costume contests, each with a cash prize: “Best Hero,” “Best Villain,” and one for uncategorized costumes.

For spooky sips ($12 each), beverage director Paulo Pereira will be pouring the Fantasma, a Don Julio margarita with ghost pepper agave nectar; the Venom Vesper, a spin on a classic vesper with Ketel One, Tanqueray and Lillet Rouge; and, the Oliver Thredson – named after the Massachusetts-based American Horror Story: Asylum character – which is an allspice Old Fashioned with Bulleit bourbon.
