Please join Historic Somerville this Sunday, November 8th from 2-3pm at the Somerville Museum for a wonderful lecture by American Historian, Daniel Breen to commemorate Veterans’ Day. In this presentation, Dr. Breen looks
back at the time of the First World War and places Somerville hero George Dilboy’s sacrifice of life into the context of the larger offensive that lead to the beginning of the end of that terrible war. If you have not yet heard Daniel Breen
deliver a lecture, this is your chance to hear an unforgettable speaker. Dr. Breen is a meticulous researcher and loves to deliver an energetic and engaging performance, full of the details and substance that brings history to life.

Dr. Breen is a full-time Instructor in the Department of Legal Studies at Brandeis University. He received his B.A
at the University of Wisconsin, his J.D. at the University of Georgia and his Ph.D. in American History at Boston College in 1983.
The lecture will be held at the Somerville Museum, One Westwood Road in Somerville
