HONK! Festival Begins Thursday
The Festival of Activist Street Bands begins tonight and roars through Davis Square this weekend.
The seventh annual HONK! Festival marches into Davis Square this weekend.
This year's festival includes 34 bands, and its signature "HONK! Parade to Reclaim the Streets for Horns, Bikes and Feet" is on Sunday at 12 p.m.
Bands will be playing nine venues in Davis Square on Saturday, and you can see a full schedule of performances here.
On Thursday, the festival kicks off with five bands performing in Union Square.

For those interested in learning about how HONK!, in just seven years, grew to become such a large festival, check out WBUR, which ran a segment on the event Wednesday afternoon.
According to WBUR, bands are coming this year from Italy and Canada, and there will be 670 musicians, maybe more, participating.
