After comedian Louis C.K. announced four surprise shows in Somerville this weekend, it didn’t take long for his fans to get desperate – like really desperate – in hopes of scoring tickets to one of the sold-out shows.

Craigslist was immediately flooded with pleas for tickets, with fans offering up to $200 for one of the $30 tickets (it’s illegal to resale the tickets for more than face value).

One zealous (insane?, deranged?) fan is only offering face value but is willing to throw in a kidney:

“No joke, I have two kidneys, only need one, and have been meaning to give it to a person in need for some time now. If you let me reimburse you for two tickets, I will begin the necessary tests next week to go through with this.”

Another post is from a “desperate girlfriend” looking for tickets for her Louis C.K. “obsessed boyfriend.”

“Like on our first date [he] quoted him an uncomfortable amount,” she writes.

While another fan is offering face value and “good Karma for not scalping them against the will of the artist!” Good luck.

Louis C.K., who grew up in Newton, announced the shows Thursday by sending an email to fans in the Somerville area who have bought something off his website. The shows sold out in minutes.

The shows are at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22 and 23, at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square.
