Moonstruck Theater Company Presents Lovestruck: A Valentine's Revue

Belmont, MA - Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Moonstruck Theater Company in partnership with Avalon Dance and Fitness proudly presents LOVESTRUCK: A VALENTINE’S REVUE for one weekend only, February 12-14th.

With an original script by Matthew Sherman and a score of familiar Broadway love songs, LOVESTRUCK explores the journey of ten people’s jubilations and tribulations in love by way of music, poetry, scenes, love letters, and more. Balancing between zany comedy and sincere moments, LOVESTRUCK will make you laugh out loud and touch your heart.

LOVESTRUCK features 10 performers from the Boston and Metro West regions including Perry Albert, Laura Clarage, Michelle Dubuke, Cara Guappone, Nick McKinnon, Cathy Merlo, David J. Rodrigues, Tristyn Sepersky, Allan Singer, and Bryan Smith.

“It’s hilarious,” says Dubuke, “It’s the perfect mix of serious content and comic relief, and is a pretty accurate portrayal of how various relationship scenarios develop and resolve over time.”

Sepersky agrees, “The cast has such chemistry and we’re so cohesive that it makes for great theater.”

Creating LOVESTRUCK was a collaborative process between Writer, Matthew Sherman, Director, Mark Sherman, and Music Director, Jessica West.

“One thing Matt , Mark, and I wanted to keep in mind when constructing the show was that everyone has their own unique talents and styles,” explains West, “ so we gave them solos that really showcase those styles.”

Cast member Nick McKinnon can speak to the synergy between the cast and creative team , “The cast has had a ton of input into various components that ended up defining the production, and the director, writer, and musical director have been very receptive of our ideas.”

LOVESTRUCK will be presented at the Avalon Dance & Fitness Center located at 345 Trapelo Rd in Belmont, MA. Performances will take place February 12 & 13th at 8:00 PM with a matinee on February 14th at 2:00 PM.
