Over $15K Raised For Daughter Of Slain Schoolteacher
The campaign will support the college fund of Vanessa MacCormack's 1-year-old daughter.

REVERE, MA – Over $15,000 has been raised so far to support the 1-year-old daughter of Vanessa MacCormack, a Lynn elementary school teacher killed in her Revere home last weekend. Her husband, Andrew MacCormack, has been charged with her murder.
Angela Masucci, the victim's sister, started the online campaign on YouCaring.com to raise college funds for MacCormack's daughter.
"Her proudest title was 'mother,'" Masucci wrote on the page. "Words could never express how much she loved her daughter and the plans she had for her."

Vanessa MacCormack, 30, was found unresponsive at 93 Grand View Ave. around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, following a 911 call placed by her husband. Her body showed "obvious signs of physical trauma," and she was pronounced dead at the scene, the Suffolk District Attorney's office said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's preliminary findings indicate that she suffered a blunt-force injury to the head, sharp-force injuries to the neck and asphyxiation. Investigators believe her husband made an effort to clean up the crime scene and dispose of items related to her death.
Andrew MacCormack, 29, was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty to charges that he murdered his wife and attempted to cover it up before police arrived.
