See local, nationally-known circus artists perform in Somerville

See dazzling circus performers in The Flow Show and help support the spread of flow arts in Somerville, Cambridge and beyond.

SOMERVILLE — Prepare to be amazed when The Flow Show, a groundbreaking circus and movement show featuring jugglers, hula hoopers and object manipulators of all kinds, brings its act to the Boston area for the first time ever next month.

The Flow Show hits the stage at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at The Center for the Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave., Somerville.

The circus-style stage show is packed to the gills with talent, imagination, and great hand-eye coordination. Performers specialize in the flow arts, a range of movement disciplines that include everything from juggling to spinning poi, hula hoops to levitating dancing wands.

“The Flow Show is a stage show packed with awe-inspiring talent. After having sold out shows throughout the country, we now get to bring it to Boston for it’s first time,” Director Lux Luminous said.

The showcase features performances by 11 locally- and nationally-acclaimed artists who blend object manipulation with dance, creative movement, theater, and emotion to create a unique and inspirational show sure to dazzle audiences. Previous shows have delighted audiences in San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago.

Stick around after the show for a chance to learn a trick or two from the performers themselves and participate in a raffle for a chance to win a wacky prop similar to what performers used on stage.

The Flow Show is produced by, Fund the Flow Arts, a US-based nonprofit organization established in 2011 to present and promote the Flow Arts globally.

The Fund aims to advance the prop manipulation-based Flow Arts.The Fund also seeks to foster local Flow Arts communities and cultivate the development of a global community of Flow Arts practitioners. The Flow Show Boston is directed by Lux Luminous and Michael Kahuna.
