Somerville Bakery to Host 4th Annual Sean Collier Fundraiser

SOMERVILLE, MA – For the fourth year in a row, Lyndell's Bakery in Somerville is hosting its Sean Collier Fundraiser.

The bakery will donate $1 from every "Half-Moon" with Collier's badge number 310 on it sold throughout the weekend to the SAPD Sean Collier Memorial Scholarship Fund. In addition, coffee is free all weekend and customers will have the opportunity to participate in raffles for sports memorabilia, gift cards and more.

Collier, a Somerville resident, was a sergeant in the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department, in addition to serving as an MIT officer. He was killed by Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev days after the attacks.

The SAPD Sean Collier Memorial Scholarship Fund, created in Collier's memory, helps Somerville High School seniors pursue careers in law enforcement.
