Somerville Community Meeting on Nunziato Stormwater and Park Project

The city plans to rehabilitate the park and refit it with new drainage, irrigation and lighting.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The City of Somerville will hold a community meeting on Monday about the upcoming stormwater and park project at Nunziato Park on Summer Street.

The meeting is an open forum, and Mayor Curtatone, Ward 3 Alderman Robert McWatters and the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development will be on hand to field questions and comments.

The forum is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Somerville High School Library, 81 Highland Ave.

According to a plan released over the summer, the city intends to rehabilitate the entire park and refit the field with new lighting, irrigation and drainage systems. A rundown of the city's master plan for refurbishing its athletic fields can be found here.
