Somerville Labor Coalition Endorses Municipal Candidates

Who is the coalition backing for local office?

SOMERVILLE, MA – On the heels of its third Political Candidates Night June 27, the Somerville Labor Coalition voted to endorse 11 candidates for municipal office. Nine of the 11 endorsements are incumbents.

Aldermen from wards 1,2,3,4, at-large and the mayor have challengers this year. The preliminary election will be held Sept. 19 and the general election will follow Nov. 7.

The Somerville Labor Coalition includes members of the Somerville Municipal Employees Association (SMEA), SEIU Local 888, Local 3 Somerville Custodians, Somerville Fire Fighters Local 76, Somerville Police Superior Officers Association - Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition and the Somerville Police Employee Association - Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition.
