Somerville Man Arrested After Police Chase, Crash in Everett
Police say the driver fled during a traffic stop in Charlestown and crashed into several parked cars in Everett.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A Somerville man is in custody Tuesday after allegedly running from police and leading them on a chase from Charlestown to Everett.
Police said William Seaburg, 31, had an outstanding warrant out for assault and battery. He allegedly sped off during a traffic stop Tuesday morning on Rutherford Avenue in Charlestown.
The state trooper pursued the car, a 2004 Lexus ES, onto Route 99 toward Everett. He ultimately ceased the chase for safety reasons, according to police.

Police found the car on Bow Street in Everett after it crashed into several unoccupied, parked vehicles on the road. Seaburg was not inside, but police later arrested him while he was walking on Route 99.
Seaburg has been charged with failure to stop for a police officer; negligent operation of a motor vehicle; speeding, leaving the scene of a personal injury crash; using a motor vehicle without authority; marked lanes violation; operating with a suspended or revoked license; violation of an abuse prevention order and operating under the influence of liquor. He also faces a warrant charge of assault and battery.

He was held without bail pending his arraignment Tuesday morning.
