Somerville Man Killed in Medford Hit and Run

MEDFORD, MA – A Somerville resident was identified as the victim in Sunday morning's hit-and-run crash in Medford.

Police say Alberto Santos-Flores, 41, was hit by a driver who fled the scene.

At 5:38 a.m. on Sunday, troopers responded to Rt. 16 westbound ahead of Wellington Circle for a report of a pedestrian struck with serious life-threatening injuries.

The pedestrian, identified as Santos-Flores, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The crash is under investigation.
