Somerville Notice Of FY21 Revaluation: Public Disclosure – Starting Oct. 26 Through Oct. 30, 2020

In compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40 Section 56, the City of Somerville has completed a comprehensive Fiscal Year 2021 reassessment of all classes of property with the assistance of Vision Government Solutions. As required by Massachusetts General Law, the assessments are based on market value as of January 1, 2020, and were developed using sales and market conditions that occurred during calendar year 2018 and 2019. The proposed values are still pending Preliminary Certification by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

The Public Disclosure period will run from Monday, October 26, 2020 to Friday, October 30, 2020. During this time, taxpayers are invited to view their proposed new values and if necessary, to make inquiries regarding the proposed values with the Assessor's office through the appropriate Assistant Assessor.

The Preliminary Fiscal Year 2021 proposed values are available for taxpayers to review on the links below for real estate and personal property by address.
