Somerville Police Look for Suspect Who Robbed Elderly Man

SOMERVILLE, MA – Police in Somerville are searching for a suspect who allegedly snatched a cash-filled envelope from an elderly man while at the bank and fled.

Police were called to the Citizens Bank on Broadway at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday for a report of a robbery. The suspect reportedly grabbed an envelope containing $400 in cash from the elderly customer and fled down Langmaid Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with scruffy, dark facial hair and wearing running sneakers, blue jeans, a grey or faded blue jacket with a black collar and a black hood over a black knit hat and fingerless black gloves.
