The department is holding a medication take back day this month.

SOMERVILLE, MA – National Take Back Day is coming up this month, and Somerville's Finest will host its own Family Safety Fair for residents to dispose of unwanted medication. The fair will be held Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
What medications will police accept? Any unused, unwanted or expired prescription meds. They will also install your child's car seat for free.
Family Safety Fair will also consist of a raffle, fun activities and giveaways. Stop by the Public Safety Building at 220 Washington Street next Saturday or you may drop off surplus meds anytime at the Somerville Fire Station, 6 Newbury Street.
