Somerville Police Warn Of New Phone Scam
A new phone scam asks for donations for a police organization, according to SPD.
SOMERVILLE, MA – The Somerville Police Department is warning of a new phone scam reported in the city. Police said the calls came from a cell number 617-586-0405.
The group claims to be from a "National Police Alliance" looking for donations. This is a scam, police said.
The department asks residents to spread the word to their neighbors. Anyone who receives a call from this number should report it to police.
