Somerville 'What The Fluff?' Festival: Fluff Turns 100 This Weekend
About 15,000 people converge on Union Square each year to celebrate Somerville's most famous export.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Idaho has its potatoes. Wisconsin has its cheese. Somerville has fluff.
Marshmallow Fluff, that is.
The city's quirkiest – and likely, most famous – export turns 100 this month at the 2017 "What the Fluff?" festival. Fittingly, this year's theme is "FluffCentennial: Inspiring the Next Century of Union Square Invention," focusing on creating new Fluff-inspired concoctions and highlighting the future of innovation in Union Square.
