Person Struck, Killed by Train in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, MA – A person was struck and killed on the commuter rail tracks in Somerville Monday.

According to police, a "trespassing" male, whose age and name have not been released, was struck by a Fitchburg Line train around 12:20 p.m. on the inbound track close to the Park Street Grade Crossing in Somerville. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say foul play was not a factor. The incident is under investigation.
