Two Medical Pot Shops in Davis Square? Somerville to Hold Meeting on Second Proposal
Residents will hear a presentation from Sage Cannabis Inc., which recently received a letter of non-opposition on Elm Street.

SOMERVILLE, MA – City officials in Somerville will hold a neighborhood meeting next week about a second proposed medical marijuana dispensary in Davis Square.
Alderman-at-Large Jack Connelly, chairman of the Somerville Board of Alderman's Committee on Public Health and Public Safety, and Ward Six Alderman Lance Davis will introduce a presentation from Sage Cannabis Inc.
The company has proposed a dispensary at 240 Elm St. Representatives from Sage Cannabis will take questions and listen to feedback regarding their application and intent to seek a special permit from the City of Somerville.

The city recently issued a letter of non-opposition to Sage Cannabis on its application. It stands to be the second medical marijuana dispensary in Davis Square, after a proposal from Garden Remedies at 245 Elm St., if both move forward.
The meeting begins Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church, 31 College Ave. in Somerville.
