WATCH: Tim Kaine Speaks at Tufts University

SOMERVILLE, MA – Former vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine stopped by Tufts University Monday to deliver a powerful message.

The school hosted the Virginia Democrat as part of its Tisch College Distinguished Speaker series, where he stressed the importance of remaining positive in defeat. For him, losing the presidential election was a reminder that he must keep fighting for the issues that matter.

But it wasn't all about the general election. The senator was also asked about his career in public service, his advocacy work – Kaine was a civil rights lawyer for close to 20 years, foreign policy and the priorities of his party moving forward.
