Police Log: Hypodermic Needles Recovered From Multiple Areas

The fielded a variety of calls from April 4-8. Here are some excerpts from the police log:
April 4
- 2:51 a.m.: Police responded to Mountain View Drive on a report of a woman outside yelling. Peace was restored upon officer's arrival.
- 9:40 a.m.: Police received reports that two dogs in a yard on Gould Street were barking for three hours. Dogs found still barking upon arrival. The animal control officer was contacted and planned to address the issue.
- 10:29 a.m.: Police received a call from a man who found some hypodermic needles in the Lincoln Street area. The needles were retrieved.
- 5:02 p.m.: A man informed police that he was involved in a two-vehicle accident near Maple Street and Montvale Avenue. Police reported it was a minor accident resulting in less than $1,000 in damage.
April 5

- 3:02 p.m.: A hypodermic needle was retrieved from the ground on Franklin Street.
- 4:44 p.m.: Police responded to Avon Street after receiving a report of a vehicle that crashed into a wall in a front yard. The driver couldn't be located. A tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle from the property.
April 6
- 2:42 a.m.: Police received a report about a girl who made suicidal threats and may be on multiple drugs. The girl's friend, who filed the report, said the girl was near water in a black Acura. The description of the vehicle and threats that were made were issued as part of a BOLO and area police departments as well as Massachusetts State Police in Medford were notified by phone. The Peabody Police Department was contacted to check the girl's residence. Peabody police reported the girl in question was home and safe. All towns were notified and the BOLO cancelled.
- 8:23 a.m.: A hypodermic needle was found on Central Street. The needle was retrieved.
- 6:56 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Crescent Avenue and Green Street following reports of a loud argument with threats being made between a man and a woman in the roadway. The person who filed the complaint said the disputes between the two has been an ongoing issue. Police spoke to both parties and they informed the officer that they had a disagreement and would keep the noise down.
April 7

- 4:19 p.m.: Police received a report of a suicidal girl who fled the New Beginnings facility on Main Street. She was located near Main and Hancock Streets. The girl was taken to Winchester Hospital by her parents and police followed them to ensure their safe arrival.
April 8
- 9:12 a.m.: A hypodermic needle was recovered from East Street.
- 9:23 a.m.: Police received a report of a cell phone that was stolen from on April 7.
- 2:06 p.m.: Two people reportedly seen fist fighting on Main Street fled in a green Toyota Camry before officers arrived.
- 11:31 p.m.: A resident reports that they heard glass breaking in the Bonad and Myopia Roads area. A vehicle was found with its window shattered, but nothing was reportedly taken from inside. The victim was notified about the incident.
- 11:55 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Montvale Avenue and Mountain View Drive on a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred northbound on Interstate 93. Two hispanic men reportedly fled the scene and went into an office building in Stoneham. Officers checked the area, but couldn't locate the suspects. State Police and Woburn Police Department were notified and units were expected to be in the area.
