Officials urged neighbors to secure trash and remove bird feeders, while noting Stoughton's mix of woodlands and side streets that attract both wildlife and visitors seeking easy local walks.
   

• Sonic Drive-In closes another Massachusetts location, only 1 left in the region (nbcboston.com) — Stoughton's Sonic Drive-In on Washington Street has permanently closed, leaving Peabody as the only remaining Sonic in the region. The Stoughton Town Center plaza location, which opened in 2016, has already been removed from the chain's website, ending local access to its burgers, hot dogs, and shakes without a drive to the North Shore.
   

• 2026 Southern New England Fall ID Positional Data Dive (prepbaseballreport.com) — A Stoughton High catcher, Jashmel Vasquez, stood out at the Southern New England Fall ID baseball showcase in Woonsocket, posting top-tier sprint, exit velocity, and catcher throwing numbers. His 7.40-second 60-yard dash, 93.1 mph exit velocity, and strong pop times highlight a promising local talent drawing regional scouting attention.
