Coffee & A Cause: Bringing the World to Sudbury

HOPEsudbury's new series of coffeehouses exploring issues that impact our global community; premiere event co-hosted by OXFAM AMERICA

HOPEsudbury is starting a new series of coffeehouses to explore issues Beyond Our Borders. These events will allow people to gather, enjoy some light refreshments, and learn about concerns impacting our global community.

The premiere event, hosted cooperatively with Oxfam America, will explore the intersection of human rights and global poverty. Speaker Fatema Z. Sumar (VP of Global Programs, Oxfam America) will share an overview of the organization’s dynamic mission to tackle the root causes of poverty and create lasting solutions. Learn how Oxfam is responding to today’s most pressing humanitarian emergencies while strengthening the capacity of local responders. Explore how Oxfam’s innovative partnerships with a global network of organizations in more than 90 countries are helping people to build better futures for themselves, hold the powerful accountable, and save lives in disasters.
