ICYMI: Superintendent Wong: Some Have Expressed Concern Over Clown Reports

The Superintendent of Schools sent out a message to the school body to address the 'clown scare.'

SUDBURY, MA—Helping to calm the hysteria surrounding the "clown scare" that has struck in ten states and some Massachusetts towns, Sudbury's Superintendent of Schools Bella Wong issued a message to the school community.

"As you may be aware there have been news reports of purported sightings of people dressed as 'clowns' exhibiting a threatening demeanor and/or behavior toward children or adults," wrote Superintendent Wong in a letter addressed to family and students. "Some families and students have expressed concern about these reports."

Wong said she consulted with Lincoln Police Chief Kevin Kennedy and Sudbury Police Chief Scott Nix about the situation and concern.
