Man Accused of Murdering Parents on Vacation Back in Court
The case of Mikhail Young continues in March.

SUDBURY, MA - The case of a Sudbury man who is accused of killing his parents while they vacationed in the Virgin Islands will continue this month.
A status hearing for Mikhail Young, 24, from Sudbury, was held on Jan. 29, 2016, in Framingham District Court, and another hearing will be held on March 10, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.
A time has not been set for the hearing.

The bodies of Young’s parents - Kenneth Young, 73, and Jane Young, 66 - were found on Sunday, May 3, stabbed to death in their St. Thomas vacation home.
Young is accused in the stabbing death of his parents while they vacationed together in the Virgin Islands, and remains in custody on a charge of Fugitive from Justice. He was initially held on a charge that stems from an arrest warrant issued out of the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands Division of St. Thomas and St. John for the murder of his parents.

Young was on probation on a charge of indecent exposure, and was held without bail pending a violation of probation.The defendant did not waive extradition.
The Sudbury Police Department received notification from the U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department on Monday, May 4, at 8 p.m., that two people on vacation from Sudbury were found murdered. Virgin Islands’ PD called Sudbury to ask if the victims’ son was in Sudbury.
On May 5, a probation warrant was issued for Young, and the defendant was brought to the Framingham courthouse, and a complaint alleging Fugitive from Justice was issued.
Reports say that “red flags” showed for Young,who had a history of arrests, violence, alcohol abuse and mental illness. He had allegedly threatened to kill his parents, who adopted him.
