Selectmen Ask Sudbury: 'Withdraw From Minuteman District'
The Board of Selectmen voted to call a special meeting to urge residents to withdraw from the district.

SUDBURY, MA - At a Board of Selectmen on Tuesday morning, the board called for a special meeting to ask residents to withdraw from the Minuteman school district.
The Minuteman School Committee recently accepted an agreement that would allow Sudbury to easily opt out of the district, reports the Sudbury Town Crier.
The meeting will be held at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, when selectmen ask voters to consider approving an agreement between Minuteman Vocational High School in Lexington and 16 of the towns, as well as leaving the district.

Other towns, too, have looked to leave the district as the school looks to fund a new building. All 16 towns came together to pen a regional agreement that would let Sudbury, and six other towns, leave.
The “Type A Agreement” proposed by the district can be found here.
