Worcester State 7th Best College In The State: Study
Worcester State University made schools.com's top ten annual list of best colleges.

WORCESTER, MA—If you're looking for a good college education, apparently right here in Framingham is one of the best places you can go in the state.
Schools.com just announced its "Best 4-Year College in Massachusetts" list, and Worcester State University came in at number 7 on that list.
"We wanted to help Massachusetts students get the best education for their money and sort through the dozens of colleges and universities in the state," wrote schools.com. "So, in addition to highlighting the state's most popular degree programs and digging into state-related scholarship information, we did some statistical analysis of each four-year school and ranked the top ten in the state.

With a 69 percent admission rate, schools.com wrote, "WSU ranked No. 3 in the state for the manageable raw cost of its tuition and fees, and the average net price paid by middle-income students at the Worcester school was lower than all other institutions in the state but one."
The list includes independent four-year schools and those in the Massachusetts System of Public Higher Education. To get the list of the best colleges, schools.com ranked 1,649 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S. Each school was scored on a 100-point scale, using the most recent data available from government sources.
