Marblehead Man Charged With Drunk Driving

At 8:19 a.m., a Boynton Street resident reported a radio was stolen from a vehicle.

At 2:03 p.m., a Humphrey Street resident reported a larceny of a phone.

At 4:11 p.m., a Stop & Shop employee reported a shoplifter. She was last seen running toward Loring Towers.

At 7:28 p.m., police arrested Joseph Nichols, 47, 8 Leggs Hill Road, Marblehead, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and negligently operating a motor vehicle. Police made the arrest on Essex Street.
