Swampscott Trash Talk: Committee Looks For More Survey Responses
The survey deadline is Dec. 10 and is designed to gauge awareness of and participation in town waste removal and recycling programs.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott residents have done plenty of trash-talking in recent months with the town's Solid Waste Advisory Committee looking for more.
The Committee is issuing a "last call" for residents to participate in its "trash survey" for those who have not done so already.
The survey will close on Dec. 10.

The survey is designed to better understand residents' awareness and participation in town and other waste removal and recycling programs. The survey will also look to determine whether more needs to be done to convey the importance to residents of the town's need to reduce waste by 30 percent by 2030 as required by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
Committee member Emily Westhoven told Patch that more than 550 residents have already participated in the survey — which can be found here — with the hope of more adding their responses by Friday.
