The Eighth Grade Girls Junior Warriors Middlesex Travel Basketball team won 1st place in their division at the Winchester March Madness Basketball Tournament held March 3-6. Wakefield played hard winning vs. Medford (61-25) and Concord Carlisle (39-22), closing out the weekend with the final win at Sunday's Championship game against Arlington (52-36).
The team, led by Coaches Gina Scheer and Keri Person since 5th grade, has a 24-5 record going into their last tournament in Burlington this weekend.
