• Details Released For Wakefield Town Day (patch.com) — Wakefield residents can mark September 26 for Town Day on the Common, featuring live music, food vendors, children's activities, and a cornhole tournament right in town. The event also includes a flu-shot clinic run by Wakefield's Health Department, with advance online registration recommended, plus a beer garden and dozens of local nonprofits and artisans. Rain date is September 27.
   

• Massachusetts awards $4.4M in microtransit grants (transportationtodaynews.com) — Wakefield is set to benefit from a new $1 million regional microtransit pilot led by Woburn and shared with Burlington and Reading, funded through a statewide grant program. The initiative aims to provide flexible, on-demand rides that fill gaps in traditional transit, helping residents reach jobs, schools, train stations, and medical appointments more easily across the region.
