Wakefield Rotary Club Receives International Recognition
Club honored for service locally and internationally

The Wakefield Rotary Club has been awarded the Rotary International Presidential Citation for its local and international service during the 2016-17 Rotary year. The award further recognizes the club for achieving goals in membership development, donations to the Rotary Foundation, participation in the eradication of polio, youth involvement, public image, and strategic planning. The award certificate was presented to the club by Rotary District 7930 David Gardner at a recent meeting. The Wakefield Club is the only club to qualify for this award last year in the District. Immediate Past President Joseph Buscaino noted, “This award is a reflection of the work of all of our members. I wouldn’t happen without the team spirit we have here in Wakefield. I’m so happy to accept this award on behalf of our Rotary team.”
