• City Council Meetings – Week of 9/20/2026 (figcitynews.com) — Newton's Public Facilities Committee will consider joining Walpole and other Massachusetts towns in a shared solid-waste contract negotiation, a move that could eventually affect trash costs and services across the region. Several other Newton City Council committees will also meet this week on traffic, parking, and city governance issues that may interest Walpole residents who work, study, or travel through Newton.
